If you bring up Google, or any other search engine for that matter, on your computer and type in what someone might type in that would be interested in your product or service, does your website or business ads show up at all?
If the answer is no then we need to seriously talk. First of all, if you notice whenever you include a city or town in your search phrase such as "San Diego Legal Attorney" a Google Maps screen pops up on the top of the page pointing out where all the Legal Attorneys are in your area. If you follow this format and type in your city along with your business type, and you are not there, then you need to go to maps.google.com and register your business information in there.
That right there will at least give you some kind of presence.
Statistics bear out that people are going to the Internet and typing in the name of the their local community and adding the service they are looking for. For example, Legal Service in San Diego, Chiropractor in Phoenix, Party planner in Tampa. People are doing this in greater numbers all the time. I for one can't remember the last time I broke open the Yellow Pages phone book to find something.
You may have been approached by a professional OnLine Business Consultant, or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) professional saying they could put you at the top of the Search Engines and they probably did a full analysis of your site and told you what you need done and showed you all kinds of graphs and charts that made your eyes glaze over trying to figure out what it all was suppose to mean. Then they presented you with a price tag that rivaled the price tag you spent on building the website itself.
In all honesty if your business is localized to a certain geographical location, like a city or state, or can be defined very specifically to your target niche, then the ability to expose you to your target audience at the top of the search engines can be very simple and fast. In some cases a matter of a couple of days, if not hours.
I
am not going to go as far as saying that they were deceitful or dishonest to you; it is not that at all. They do what they know how to do. The methods they use do take a lot of time and effort.
I am just saying I know of ways that can get you seen on the top of page one of Google on just about any targeted keyword search you may wish to capture quickly, easily, and inexpensively. My method does many of the same things they do. It is just done in a fully automated way.
